「Mambo No. 5」（マンボ・ナンバー・ファイブ）は、キューバ出身の音楽家ダマソ・ペレス・プラードが1949年に作曲・録音したインストゥルメンタルのマンボおよびジャズ・ダンス曲で、翌1950年にリリースされた。
1999年、ドイツの歌手ルー・ベガ（Lou Bega）がこの原曲をサンプリングして、新たな楽曲として発表。同年4月に彼のデビューアルバム『A Little Bit of Mambo』からの先行シングルとしてリリースされた。ベガ版は1999年の夏、ヨーロッパ各地で大ヒットを記録し、その後イギリス、北米、オセアニアでも人気を博した。
フランスでは20週連続で1位を獲得するという記録を樹立。アメリカでは1999年11月2日付のビルボードHot 100で最高3位を記録し、ルー・ベガにとってアメリカで唯一のトップ40ヒットとなった。
