「Wordplay」（ワードプレイ）は、ジェイソン・ムラーズの2005年のアルバム『Mr. A–Z』からの最初のシングルとしてリリースされた楽曲である。「The Remedy (I Won’t Worry)」に続き、Billboard Hot 100で81位を記録し、ムラーズにとって2作目のチャート入り作品となった。
この曲はアルバム『Mr. A–Z』から最も成功したシングルとなった。
ミュージック・ビデオ
ディーン・カーによって監督されたミュージック・ビデオは、ムラーズがバンドやギターを魔法で演奏する魔法使いとともに野原で演奏するシーンから始まる。続いてムラーズが倒木に座ってギターを弾いている場面が映し出される。その間、通りかかった老人が音楽に耐えられず、演奏を止めさせようと石を投げ始める。ビデオが進むにつれ、次々と人々が集まり、ムラーズに石を投げ続ける。なお、ギターを弾く魔法使いは実はムラーズ自身が扮しているキャラクターである。ビデオはこれまでの場面を次々と映し出し、最後には石を浴びて重傷を負ったムラーズの姿で幕を閉じ、画面が暗転する。
