　「キング・オブ・ペイン」は、イギリスのロックバンド、ポリスの曲で、彼らの5枚目にして最後のスタジオアルバム『シンクロニシティ』（1983年）からの2枚目のシングルとしてリリースされた。バンドのリードシンガー兼ベーシストのスティングが、妻との別居後に書いた曲で、「キング・オブ・ペイン」は痛みの象徴を思い起こさせ、それを男性の魂と関連付けている。A&Mレコードは「キング・オブ・ペイン」をイギリスではアルバムの4枚目のシングルとしてリリースしたが、他の多くの国では2枚目のシングルとしてリリースされた。
