曲情報
「Seasons in the Sun」(シーズン・イン・ザ・サン)は、アイルランドのボーイバンド、ウエストライフにより1999年11月1日にリリースされた彼らのセルフタイトルのデビュー・スタジオアルバムに収録された楽曲である。
この曲の大元はフランスのジャック・ブレルが1961年にリリースしたシャンソン「Le Moribond」だった。
テリー・ジャックスがザ・ビーチボーイズをプロデュースする際にこの曲の英訳バージョンを歌わせたが、セッションは上手くいかず、曲は完成しなかった。マイケル・ラヴによるとあまりにも弱い曲でザ・ビーチボーイズには合わなかった、という。仕方なく、テリー・ジャックスが自分で歌って、1973年12月にリリースしたところ、世界中で1400万枚以上を売り上げる大ヒットとなった。(邦題：そよ風のバラード)
